![]() Most of the free to play games of the last few years don't have any real social functions at all other than a few emotes. ![]() Is there something I'm missing here, or do the devs really not care about giving people any incentive at all to play against real people? They nag me every day to change my setting but don't provide any incentive to do so, other than that the nag will go away. I'll just take the coins and the daily achievements with less wait and hassle. I'm just not seeing the point at all of going open queue with real players, other than bragging rights or showing off your cosmetics. On top of that you have rubber banding of other players. If it wasn't I'd just go solo.Īs far as I can tell, playing against real people is all downside - longer queue times, sometimes over 2 minutes (over 10 minutes for GP mode), and lower rewards because you'll place further down the roster on average, if you even finish at all. When playing solo I sometimes get matched with others on team and duo but even then matchmaking is very quick. Even when I'm playing with a friend we just queue up duo mode against AI and we can start a game immediately.
